The inverted planetary roller drive is 30 years old!

16.05.2023

30 years ago, Exlar fundamentally changed automation with the invention of the inverted planetary roller drive. What began as a customer-specific design for Tetra Pak has been continuously optimized and further developed.

Today's GTX and TTX electric actuators, with their integrated servomotor (TTX also with integrated servodrive), are impressively compact and are increasingly replacing hydraulic actuators with clean and environmentally friendly electromechanics.

GTX and TTX electric actuators

At the heart of these power packs is the inverted planetary screw drive. This allows the servomotor to be integrated directly on top of the spindle instead of behind it. The result: up to 100kN feed force in the shortest installation space available on the market. This facilitates the replacement of hydraulic cylinders and guarantees technical, ecological and economic advantages!
