Servo riveting units
BalTec riveting units are ideal for integration into automation, rotary indexing or transfer systems in any desired position. The optimum performance spectrum enables full utilization of the riveting capacity. Various sizes are available in radial or wobble riveting technology. There are versions with asynchronous motor or servo motor.
The servo riveting units have a coaxial motor concept and are therefore very space-saving. Depending on the model, the NK310 or NK630 kit servo motor from Parkem is integrated into the servo riveting units. It is responsible for executing precise radial, wobble and rolling movements.
The kit design of stator and rotor in particular enables the space-saving integration of a servo motor into an optimized mechanical system. It makes a significant contribution to the efficiency and accuracy of the riveting unit without being the focus of the overall product.
Compared to asynchronous motors, (kit) servomotors offer numerous advantages: they are more energy-efficient as they only consume the energy that is actually required and enable better control of movements.
They also offer greater precision and dynamic control, which makes them ideal for applications that require precise positioning and speed control. In addition, servomotors are generally much more compact than asynchronous motors with the same performance.
Parkem supported BalTec in the design as well as the mechanical and electrical integration of the kit servo motors into the various riveting units.
These servo riveting units from Baltec use various techniques for efficient joining processes:
- Wobble riveting enables uniform joining through rotating movement of the rivet head
- Roll riveting uses a rolling motion for seamless joints
- Radial riveting provides precise forming through radial expansion of the riveting tool
These functions allow flexible adaptation to different production requirements and materials to achieve optimum results.
The compact and slim design of the servo riveting units also allows easy integration into existing production lines, even where space is limited. The modular design and flexibility in adapting to new products and production requirements make the servo riveting units particularly attractive for a wide range of industries.
